The socially responsible municipalities and the municipalities committed to the green transition in the next decade in Bulgaria are increasing. In the background of the green deal and the forthcoming goals that the society must achieve in order to reduce emissions, the municipality of Sevlievo has installed four air quality stations. Thanks to the devices for precise monitoring of environmental parameters and software systems for data analysis, it will be now possible to identify problem areas and monitor compliance with EU regulations and targets in the decade of transition to climate neutrality.
Four air quality stations will monitor pollution in another environmentally responsible municipality
Air quality monitoring stations UAQS-0800-HYBR for fine particles pollution were installed in the central part of the city and on two of the roads with heaviest traffic in the city, and one UAQS-1200-HYBR station equipped with sensor block for gases pollution in the largest primary school of the city.
The implemented solution provides a comprehensive toolkit with the following benefits:
- Immediate localization of air pollution in different areas
- Analysis of historical data to detect trends for different times of the year
- Monitoring of compliance in accordance with current European legislation
- Events and alarms in case of air quality anomalies
The citizens of Sevlievo Municipality will also be able to monitor air quality through the CloudBox device, which visualizes the monitoring points on the screen in the municipal building, and a dynamic component will soon be implemented on the municipality’s website to provide 24/7/365 data for the citizens.
