Lecturers and guests from 12 countries gathered for the 8th edition of the International Innovation Forum in Southeast Europe Innovation Explorer, which took place on February 24th at the Sofia Event Center, and Senstate was one of the main partners of the event. The forum focused on innovation as a tool for economic development and presented the key global changes driving the human progress.
Main topic on which the participants discussed this year was how long term we can plan, which is the main goal that the Bulgarian society faces for the next 10 years and how innovation knowledge, regional investments, good work of the institutions and economics will let us reach it.
The forum was divided on 5 panels: Mathematical angle of almost anything, Think Further, Strong Civil Society, Economic Possibilities, Climate Actions. Some of the international lecturers giving presentations were the mathematician Hannah Fry (England), the futurist David Passig (USA), the investor Berthold Baurec-Karlic (Austia), the engineer Thomas Metz (Germany), Dr Sandra Romenska is a Senior Lecturer in innovations, Francois Debergh(France) – Country Director Veolia Bulgaria, as well as bulgarian economists, investors like Atanas Petkanov, Lyubomir Datzov, Manyu Moravenov, Zlatolina Mukova and others.
The futurist David Passig demonstrated a talk with AI, the mathematician Hannah Fry explained how mathematical models explain history, the macro-economist Atanas Petkanov presented the trends in the economy, the analyzer Stella Vatcheva from London presented data for industries and products, Thomas Metz pictured the future of the mobility and transport, Bertold Karlik spoke about the history and development of the equity and venture capital industry in Europe.
The latest companies in the climate action area, among which Senstate, presented in front of the guests of the forum our innovative products and solutions. During the whole day presenters from the team mеt guests of the forum on our stand, to describe the innovations in the scope of air quality monitor, as well the participants had the opportunity to get to know with the devices and technology in real time.
For the first time the organizers of Innovation Explorer handed awards for innovations. Awarded are three mayors of small municipalities in Bulgaria, that demonstrated good development and investment in support of the society.
