The Municipality of Gabrovo has implemented a complete solution for monitoring the air quality in the city. With a population of just over 50,000 people and 9 stations installed for 24-hour real-time monitoring, the Municipality of Gabrovo is the only municipality in Bulgaria with almost full coverage of the entire territory of the city.
In this way, key places with a high risk of pollution, areas with high traffic and green locations in the city are tracked 24/7/365.
The vision of the Municipality for sustainable development, social responsibility and transparency and responsibility to the population further facilitates the process of gradual implementation of smart solutions for cleaner environment and awareness of citizens through modern technologies.
Three location in the town of Gabrovo were equipped with displays that visualize the air quality though interactive dashboards – in the building of the Municipality, in the Technical University and in “Ran Bosilek” School. In addition, citizens can monitor the air quality of any device on an online air quality map link in real time.
Senstate is also developing a specialized portal for the environment of the Municipality of Gabrovo – Green Gabrovo, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. The app will allow citizens to browse interactive live data for the air quality, water quality and the water level. It will also support visualization of other environmental parameter such as the background noise and the background radiation. .
